A young Kazakh artist Ghani Kobey presented a series of original paintings to the collection of the Suleyman Demirel University. The uniqueness of the author is that he prefers to remain anonymous, without drawing attention to his person and appearance, without taking the viewer away from his work. Therefore, a series of his works is called “Mirrors of the subconscious mind “. According to the author, looking at the pictures, everyone can look into their soul. To date, the young artist has managed to exhibit his works at the NYA gallery (New York) and build a partnership with leading galleries in the United States, Europe and Asia. Paintings in University gave the team of Ait Gallery, whose founder is an alumnus of the SDU.
The rector SDU Kuanysh Yergaliev solemnly presented the Art Corner at the university and expressed gratitude to the organizers of the project.
– It is gratifying that we have such talented and creative alumni who are ready to contribute to the development of the activities of the SDU. We express our thanks to our alumni for the great work done to promote the national culture not only in the country, but also abroad. I am sure that these paintings will certainly become an invaluable spiritual heritage and inspiration for our students, – said the Rector of the SDU Kuanysh Yergaliev.
It should be noted that the Ait gallery of modern art was opened in March 2019 with the aim of popularizing Kazakh art. Its founder, an alumnus of the SDU business school Kenzhebek Aitkuzhin, managed to hold exhibitions in major cities of the country, such as Almaty, Nur-Sultan and Atyrau. According to Kenzhebek, the paintings of Kazakh authors are popular with viewers in Europe and the United States for their exclusivity.
– According to the author’s idea, each picture and work is considered under a certain music, because of which the viewer receives the strongest emotional charge. This is a new direction in the visual arts. The foundation of the artist’s work is laid from ornaments, each of which has its own history and deep meaning. And our mission is to widely popularize the national culture both among the younger generation and in the international arena, “- concluded Kenzhebek Aitkuzhin.
Suleyman Demirel University is open to collaboration with artists and to accept works of art in its collection.
