On October 6, researchers of SDU Business School had their first meeting, in the framework of the bi-weekly research seminar series. During this seminar, Dr. Oskenbayev presented his ongoing research study on oil prices and non-performing loans, which was followed by questions and discussions, related with this research in particular and about other research related topics in general. While the meeting was very useful for Dr. Oskenbayev, who received many valuable feedbacks and comments on his work, it was also useful for junior researchers, who were able to get an overall impression of how a good research should be structured and conducted. Overall, these meetings are believed to be a good instrument for building a productive research environment and bringing the researchers of the faculty together, especially for connecting the junior researchers with experienced researchers. These meetings are expected to be held systematically, on Tuesdays at 10 a.m. of every second week. The next meeting is planned for 20th of October, where two junior researchers will present the first drafts of their research proposals.
