Gaukhar Aldambergenova held a guest lecture for students of SDU

         What is a portray of a Kazakh young lady? How to combine traditional moral values and traits of a modern woman? What social issues are bothering young women today and what choices do they make?
           These and many other topics were discussed at a guest lecture under the theme “Young women education – the future of the nation”, which was held for the SDU students by Rector of Kazakh National Women’s Teacher Training University, Doctor of Pedagogics, Professor Gaukhar Aldambergenova. It was an interactive discussion, where especially active students from Journalism Department highlighted the problems of a social status of a woman in a modern society, compared historical facts with current reality and tried to give a scientific explanation for the role of a Kazakh woman in a society. Professor raised some topical issues concerning traditional values and moral education of a Kazakh woman. It was indicated that since the ancient times young girls have been raised as future mothers and home keepers, however things are changing now. According to the speaker, nowadays a Kazakh woman is more educated and this factor sometimes makes it difficult to follow national traditions and to preserve values of the ancestors. On this subject, the Professor gave some good advice that, in her opinion, could be used in their lives and their development as modern Kazakh young women. Moreover, Gaukhar Aldambergenova shared her own experience of family education and methods she used upbringing her own daughter. At the end of this meeting SDU students expressed their gratitude for a candid discussion and wished the Rector professional success.
          It is interesting to note that Gaukhar Aldambergenova is the author of more than 100 scientific articles, 2 monographs, 2 textbooks, 10 educational guides, including “The worldview and ideas of thinkers on ethics and morality”, “The essence of morality and its functions”, “Moral and ethical culture of Kazakh young women”, “Tools and methods of moral and ethical education of a woman in Kazakh folk pedagogics”. She is also an author of such courses as “The concept of using the best traditions of Kazakh people in moral and ethical upbringing of young women in the modern system of education”, “Moral and ethical traditions of Kazakh people in young women education”. Gaukhar Aldambergenova is also originator of “The concept of using the best traditions of Kazakh people in moral and ethical upbringing of young women in the modern system of education”, published in 2010. In 2010 she also published a monograph “The basics of moral and ethical education” based on upbringing of young women, in 2014 she also published a monograph “Moral and ethical education of women in Kazakh folk pedagogics”.
