Today, a delegation from the University of Leicester, led by the pro-rector, Professor Sarah Dixon, visited SDU. Honorary guests from Great Britain were met by the rector of the University Kanat Kozhakhmet and Dean of the Business School Asylbek Nurgabdeshev.
The parties discussed promising areas of cooperation between one of the leading universities in the UK - the University of Leicester and Suleyman Demirel University in strengthening the strategic partnership.
During the talks, Sarah Dixon talked about the cooperation of the University of Leicester with leading universities in such countries as China, India, CIS countries, etc. At the same time, the professor indicated the possibility of a broad exchange of experience between SDU and Leicester University, which provides for joint research in various areas.
Particular attention was paid to the introduction of a franchise in our university, which allows students of the country not to go to England to obtain a British-style diploma. It should be noted that Leicester University successfully implemented similar practice in China, where 30% of the professors and traitors are British.
- We have reached agreement on the 2 + 2 system, which allows our students to study here for two years and two years in England. Either there is an opportunity for four years to study in SDU and one year Master's degree in England. However, in the coming years we intend to consider the issue of the full implementation of a franchise based on the university, which will build its own brand of the business school. In addition, next spring, together with the University of Leicester, we plan to hold a business festival on "What Business wants from Business School" involving about 200 representatives of the business community of the country, - Dean of the SDU Business School Asylbek Nurgabdeshev concluded.
