The Intergovernmental Kazakh-British Newton-Al-Farabi Partnership Programme is a five-year, £20 million joint programme launched in 2014 by the UK Government and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, providing equal funding. The Newton-Al-Farabi Partnership programme forms part of the Newton Fund, administered by the UK’s Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy. The Newton-Al-Farabi Partnership Programme is coordinated by JSC Science Fund, for Kazakhstan, and the British Council, for the UK.
Associate professor Rakhima Zhumaliyeva, PhD, Assistant-professor Mukhtar Senggirbay, PhD, Assistant-professor Esengul Kap, PhD, Bibish Ashaeva, MS., and Maksut Gatiat, MA took an active part in the workshops under the program “Researcher Connect”, organized by British Council and Center for Professional Development and Engagement at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (Center Director Dilyara Woodward, PhD). The modules “Know Your Audience”, “Presenting with Impact”, “Academic writing” were discussed in the workshops, conducted from the 24th till 26th of November 2016.
